On Friday, July 12, 2024, the Consultancy and Research Hub (CARes-Hub) begun a three-day dynamic training calibration session for our dedicated enumerators and field teams. The training was a crucial step in our mission to assess the impact of Welthungerhilfe’s (WHH) Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) support across seven counties in Liberia.

The evaluation aimed to gauge the effectiveness of the VSLA intervention in enhancing food security and economic resilience within targeted communities.

The VSLA initiative is a key pillar of WHH’s strategy to drive economic empowerment and bolster food security in Liberia. Over the last six years, WHH has partnered with 400 VSLA groups in the counties of Grand Cape Mount, Bomi, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Rivercess, Sinoe, and Grand Kru, with significant progress already evident.
